UPCOMING EVENTS

Engage with music throughout the Clark! Move your body and join artist and educator Molly Hess for an all-ages dance workshop that incorporates rhythm, pulse, and the visual elements of music. (30 minute workshops at 1+2 pm)

Free admission all day. Special activities in the Clark Center lower level, Family Room, and Museum Pavilion from 1–4 pm.

This open-level class focuses on finding freedom as a mover and building body awareness. You are invited to approach with care and explore without preciousness as we play with memory, momentum, bad magic tricks, and more to expand our possibilities of movement. Drawing from Molly’s background in contemporary forms, somatics, and dance improvisation, each class includes a full-body warm-up, exercises to develop technical skills, and moments of guided improvisation. These Improvisational explorations and skills weave together into a musically driven dance phrase at the end of each class. This class is for you! Feel welcome to modify, rest, hydrate, take what you need, and leave the rest.
